My knee has been bothering me since last year so I finally went to the doctor and I was diagnosed with Patello Femoral Syndrome. It is nothing major but the doctor recommended and insert for my right shoe to balance me out. After two runs the insert ripped the skin off of my arch and I could barely run for two days. I took the insert out. I decided to try some strengthening exercises and promised myself to take it easy with the running. I will also avoid what got me here in the first place: deciding to do a half-marathon 3 weeks before the race with no training. Thanks to Paul Jones at Jones Physical Therapy for all of the help.
In May I competed in the Al Briede 3 mile race, Fat Boy 5K, and the Greek Fest 5K. I was less than impressed with my 24 minute 5K times but I promised not to beat myself up over it.
